Sudhir Choudhrie a Man of Many Hearts

Sudhir Choudhrie can be said to be a “billionaire with a heart.”

That statement takes on multiple meanings when examining the remarkable life and career of this Indian-born British citizen who achieved significant accomplishments in the world of business, trade and finance.

First, Sudhir Choudhrie is currently among the longest surviving heart transplant recipients in the world. A genetic defect in his heart was discovered by his doctors when Sudhir was just eight back in the 1950s. That meant a lifetime of health issues.

The result was a transplant successfully executed in the late 1990s. The surgery was performed by the famous Dr. Oz.

But Sudhir Choudhrie also has a different kind of heart -– that of caring and giving man who practices philanthropy. Mr. Choudhrie has made a lot of money via his numerous and varied business ventures over six decades. He gives a lot of it away.

His foundation has supported an array of causes, from donating funds to bolster research on heart health to supporting handicapped athletes via the Paralympics and other programs. Choudhrie is an ardent supporter of obscure and/or undiscovered artists.

Sudhir Choudhrie also has a special place in his heart for old, abandoned vintage automobiles. He is known for searching out rusted out wrecks in back alleys or salvage yards and restoring them back to pristine condition.

He favors historic, early 20th Century brands, such as Rolls Royce, Mercedes, Cadillacs along with numerous French models from a bygone era. Choudhrie currently maintains one of the largest vintage car collections in the world. Sudhir Choudhrie’s: Facebook Page.
