When examining the accomplishments of 71-year-old entrepreneur Sudhir Choudhrie, it is hard to not be astounded by the breadth of his work and the large number of people he has affected throughout his life. It is even more impressive when you realize that Sudhir Choudhrie has done all of this despite facing a serious heart condition that should not have let him live past his youth. Growing up in India, Sudhir Choudhrie had a troubled childhood. Diagnosed with a leaking heart valve at age 8 followed by several heart attacks throughout his early live, he was not supposed to live past his early adult life. However, he made the most of the little time he was told he had by founding Magnum Trading Company Ltd which grew to become the 5th largest major budget airline in India in only 5 years.

Despite these accomplishments, Sudhir Choudhrie’s true impact came after receiving a heart transplant that saved his life when he had just hours left to live. After undergoing this experience, he established the established a charitable organization in 2010 to encourage more people to become organ donors. This Foundation provides hope and inspiration to the organ transplant community and has goals of increasing organ donors which could ultimately save 500,000 lives.
